1 Million Points of Validation

Salivary testing critics cite a lack of validating data to show clinical utility. ZRT possesses the data to soundly answer this criticism. When patients submit saliva or blood spot samples to ZRT for analysis, they also submit a requisition form that includes the following information: age; height and weight (for calculation of body mass index, BMI); menstrual status; dosage, timing, and route of administration of any hormonal supplementation; and the relative severity (none, mild, moderate, or severe) of more than 50 hormone-related symptoms.

By incorporating patient symptoms and supplementation regimens into the reporting format, ZRT can offer an exceptionally valuable report. In addition to our unique reporting, we have also compiled the largest study of its kind. After many years of scientific research around the globe, many studies have been performed with respect to the levels of hormones in blood and potential correlation to different clinical parameters. To have these studies repeated using salivary measurements of hormones would help to validate saliva testing, but is very slowly emerging from the scientific literature, mostly in small scale studies.

After more than six years of data collection exceeding 1 million results, ZRT is now primed to present an impressive assemblage of clinically validating data paralleling or exceeding many of the findings from serum/plasma testing.
