We are looking to hire a Scientific Editor to join our team. The Scientific Editor will create, produce and maintain scientific documentation for internal processes and marketing efforts. To that end, this position’s primary responsibilities are to write and edit marketing content, including provider and patient literature, test specifications, blogs and website copy; and maintain ZRT’s Scientific Reference Database. This position will also be the primary point of contact for research conducted by ZRT Laboratory. This will include working directly with research teams, communicating intricate details internally and externally, tracking progress and results, working with grants, etc. This position will also assist laboratory staff in the preparation of manuscripts and abstracts for submission to journals and scientific conferences, including editing/writing work and analysis of relevant laboratory data as required.
The Scientific Editor will work directly with the Marketing Director and the CEO/Founder as well as both independently and in collaboration with others in various departments such as research, marketing, lab, clinical consultants, sales and project management.
This position requires someone who is personable, self-motivated, passionate, organized and knowledgeable in the areas of science, hormones and/or health care. Preferably, the ideal candidate will also hold a degree in a scientific discipline relevant to the testing portfolio at ZRT Laboratory; have 5+ years of experience creating printed, digital and/or multimedia documentation; have the ability to quickly learn and clearly convey in writing complex procedures in ways that the target audience can effectively and efficiently understand as well as the ability to work in a dynamic environment where essential information is managed electronically and where the requirement to analyze and change systems based on their effectiveness is constant
